The Hymnary
The Hymnary is an indexed database of hymnals, often with full texts and background information. It includes the Dictionary of North American Hymnology, which is an index of every known hymnal printed in North America through 1978. Its value is mostly in tracing American hymns (and U.S. printings of English hymns). Newer hymnals include indexed tunes. A forum is available for asking hymnology questions.
Hymn Tune Index
An exhaustive indexed database of every tune in every known English hymnal (with music), up to 1820. Does not include hymnals without music, but is valuable for discovering how tunes and texts have related to each other. Offers multiple search options.
