Over the past year, we have made several changes to the library with the goal of making it easier for you to do research, write papers, and print assignments. Our goal is to continuously improve these services so that you can focus your time on your research without being distracted by the technology facilitating it. To that end, we are conducting a short survey during the month of March to find out what improvements have been helpful and what areas still need work. The survey is anonymous, and your feedback will help us better understand your computing needs and how we can meet them. Please take the survey once, either online or by filling out a paper copy at the circulation desk. Thank you!
In our continual effort to bring our patrons as many online, full-text journals as possible, we have recently added the Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling. Presently, library patrons can access the full-text of the 2009 issues and all forthcoming issues. We hope to expand the archive for this journal in the future. You can find a permanent link to this journal on the Alphabetical List of All Databases.
As devices like the iPhone become more ubiquitous, Boyce Centennial Library is committed to implementing better mobile search interfaces. We’re pleased to announce the availability today of a mobile search interface for five EBSCO databases: Academic Search Premier, Christian Periodical Index, E-Journals, Old Testament Abstracts, and New Testament Abstracts. From this interface one, several, or all of these databases can be searched. A link to the mobile interface has been added to our new mobile devices page and the alphabetical list of all databases. The new mobile interface features basic searching, html and pdf full text articles, emailing articles, multi-database searching, and image viewing. Next time you’re in line somewhere with your mobile device, try out the EBSCO mobile interface and use that time for research.
