Boyce Library News

Recent Items Page and RSS Feeds

March 31st, 2010 • Robb Brunansky

For some time, Boyce Centennial Library has had an area on the main floor where patrons could browse new titles recently added to the collection. We are happy to announce that we now have an online new titles section where you can browse new titles from anywhere you have a computer and internet access. Not only that, but our New Titles Page provides RSS feeds to notify you whenever a new title of interest is added to the collection.

New titles have been grouped into ten major categories: Old Testament, New Testament, Preaching, Church History, Leadership, Missions, Systematic Theology, Education, Counseling, and Apologetics. You can subscribe to RSS feeds for one, several, or all of these subject areas.

In the weeks and months ahead, expect to see improvements coming to the New Titles Page as well as new features. If you have feedback about this new application, or if we have left out a category you’d like to see added to the page, send us an email and let us know.

2010 Library Computer Services Survey

March 1st, 2010 • Robb Brunansky

Over the past year, we have made several changes to the library with the goal of making it easier for you to do research, write papers, and print assignments. Our goal is to continuously improve these services so that you can focus your time on your research without being distracted by the technology facilitating it. To that end, we are conducting a short survey during the month of March to find out what improvements have been helpful and what areas still need work. The survey is anonymous, and your feedback will help us better understand your computing needs and how we can meet them. Please take the survey once, either online or by filling out a paper copy at the circulation desk. Thank you!

Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling

January 27th, 2010 • Robb Brunansky

In our continual effort to bring our patrons as many online, full-text journals as possible, we have recently added the Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling. Presently, library patrons can access the full-text of the 2009 issues and all forthcoming issues. We hope to expand the archive for this journal in the future. You can find a permanent link to this journal on the Alphabetical List of All Databases.
