Ever feel like you are just spinning your wheels in the library? Need help learning research techniques? Join us for these one-hour workshops and learn to do twice the research in half the time. Just sign up using the form below so we know to expect you.

  • Meeting Boyce: An Introduction to the Library’s Layout, Services, and Resources
    This session is open to all students, but is primarily intended for new students as an introduction to services of the Boyce Centennial Library. Topics covered include how to obtain research help; how to access materials here, from off-site storage, or from other libraries; use of the computer lab, copiers, and printers; and other practical matters that would help students use the James P. Boyce Centennial Library for information access and retrieval.

  • Seek and You WILL Find: An Introduction to Library Search Techniques
    This session addresses library search strategies for use within catalogs, search engines, and databases.

  • Introduction to BibleWorks
    This workshop is for all SBTS students, even those who do not own their own copy of BibleWorks. We will meet on the second floor of the library in the computer lab, where the latest version of BibleWorks is installed on nine of the library computers. If you have a copy of BibleWorks on your laptop, please bring it with you. The presentation will focus on the layout of the program, customizing the display, and searching in Greek and Hebrew.

  • A Cite for Sore Eyes: How Citation Managers Remove the Pain from Paper Writing
    Learn how programs like EndNote, BookEnds, Zotero, and a few others can help you keep track of sources and even compile bibliographies automatically. Both Windows and Mac platforms will be included.
